I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location is unbeatable, just a couple of blocks from the Bund and close to shopping areas. The rooms are spacious and well-furnished, but mine unfortunately needed a good cleaning as there were clothes tags and debris on the floor. The service was okay, though I had some challenges with a smoke issue that took a while to resolve. Overall, it’s decent value for money given its prime location, but there are definitely areas for improvement.

7.8/10

I had a pretty mixed experience at this hotel. On the plus side, the location is fantastic—right near the Bund and other sightseeing spots. Unfortunately, the rooms left a lot to be desired; they were not very clean and the bed was uncomfortable. The staff was friendly but not very fluent in English, which made communication a bit challenging. Overall, if you're looking for a great location, it's worth considering, but don't expect top-notch comfort or cleanliness.

Rooms
5.0
Unfortunately, the rooms weren't clean or comfortable at all. The bed felt like I was sleeping on the floor and there was hair on my soap box. Plus, the towels were damp and stained.
Service
6.0
The staff was friendly and tried to help, but there was a language barrier that made things a little tricky at times. I eventually got moved to a better room after some discussions.

5.0/10

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore the city and visit top attractions. However, the rooms left much to be desired, particularly with cleanliness and comfort. Service was hit or miss, and dining wasn't enjoyable at all. Overall, it’s decent for the price given the location, but you might need to manage your expectations regarding the rooms and meals.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were of a traditional hutong style, which means they weren’t cleaned thoroughly — I noticed some dust in the corners. While my room did include a refrigerator, it felt quite cramped and not very comfortable, especially with the bed feeling like I was sleeping on the floor. The noise from a nearby motorbike repair shop starting early in the morning was quite disruptive.
Service
5.0
I found the service to be rather impolite at times. While some staff were helpful, the language barrier made it difficult to communicate effectively. They insisted my room had a window, but it was barely a foot away from a high wall, which was misleading.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance of the Bund, Nanjing Road, and other major attractions like the Yu Garden. This made it super easy to explore everything Shanghai has to offer.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were seriously lacking. I wouldn’t recommend bothering with meals here as the quality was just awful. I found much better alternatives nearby.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel didn’t offer many amenities or facilities, which was disappointing. There was little to enhance the overall experience.

I stayed at this hotel and found it had a fantastic location, nestled in the historic center of Shanghai and walking distance from many attractions. The rooms were a decent size but had a bit of a tired look and an odd decor. The service was hit or miss, with some staff being polite while others weren't very helpful. Overall, the hotel is good value for money considering its prime location, but some aspects definitely need improvement.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were of good size and clean, but the decor felt a bit worn and had a strange, over-the-top style that made me uncomfortable.
Service

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location is absolutely fantastic for exploring Shanghai, with easy access to major attractions. The rooms are spacious, but I struggled with some noise and an unpleasant smell from the extractor fan. The staff was polite and friendly, but I faced some issues during my stay that were not handled as well as I’d hoped. Overall, it could be a decent budget option, but improvements are needed in some areas.

Rooms

Service

I had a pretty challenging stay at this hotel. The location is definitely a highlight, as it's close to the Bund and shopping areas, which is great. However, the room cleanliness was unacceptable, and the service could use a lot of improvement. It's hard to recommend this place based on my experience, especially considering the lack of cleanliness and poor service.

Rooms

The room was large but very unclean, with hair from previous guests all over my soap and toothbrush. The towels were damp and stained, and the shower looked mucky. It's clear that the room hadn't been properly cleaned.
Service

The service was terrible. The staff seemed to argue amongst themselves and weren't helpful. After a lot of back-and-forth, I finally got moved to another room, which was frustrating.
Location
9.0
The hotel is excellently located, just a short walk to the Bund promenade and nearby shopping streets. This was the only positive aspect of my stay.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were fairly basic. While the food was okay by local standards, I would have preferred more variety, especially for breakfast.
Facilities

The hotel had basic facilities, but nothing stood out as impressive. It's clear that upgrading the cleanliness and services could greatly enhance the amenities offered.

I stayed at this hotel and found it to be in a fantastic location right in the Bund area of Shanghai, just a short walk from the promenade and various attractions. The rooms were a decent size and fairly clean, although the view wasn’t great as they mostly faced walls or an inner corridor. The service left much to be desired as I had issues with the air conditioning that took days to resolve. Overall, it had its ups and downs, but the value for money is decent given the location.

I had a good stay at the hotel, which is located in a prime area just moments away from the Bund. The rooms are lavishly appointed and quite spacious, creating a nice atmosphere. While I found the service to be somewhat lacking in friendliness, they were still helpful in a pinch. The dining options left a bit to be desired, especially for a vegetarian, which was disappointing. Overall, it's a decent value for money given its great location and large rooms.

The hotel has a fantastic location, making it super convenient to explore Shanghai, especially with the Bund and Nanjing Road nearby.
